Hi Clare, I think how you used word web in the class talking about movie types was a brilliant idea. It was very engaging and kinesthetic.

Hey Clare, this is really great - The next time I teach a class with lots of adjective / noun / adverb choices I will definitely do it your way!

Thanks all for your positive comments.

Ross, I think that would be a great idea to try and turn this into a training session!

Hi Claire. This video was a pleasure to watch! Great balance of theory and examples from your class. I wonder if you'd be able to turn this into a training session for teachers to encourage more use of this great classroom technique. Well done!

Hi Clare,

Superb video! You not only presented on a topic, but turned it into a training video. This is a great resource to share with the South Training Team.

In your presentation you explore the benefits of using word webs, grids and charts in supporting student engagement, understanding and learning and add gravitas to your argument by referencing Scrivener and McCarthy. You communicate this clearly by showing examples and using labeling. In the classroom, you highlight how we can engage learners in making word webs on the whiteboard by getting them up and moving about. This makes the lesson more memory and provides learners with a tangible product of their work during the task that they can then share with others and record by taking a photo on their phone.Outstanding!
