Hi Tom,

This is a great video presentation that highlights how effective word cards are in helping learners review and retain new lexis. From a young learners' perspective, this tool also engages the family in their child's learning as they word cards can be used to play cards (e.g. memory game, snap, charades etc.) which keep the learner motivated. I especially like how you add extra practice by getting learners to create their own word cards, thus helping them remember by practicing writing the word.

For an interview discussion on this topic, it would be worthwhile thinking further on how word cards can be used in the classroom as group or class activities. Can you give some examples of how you have used this resource to engage and support learning in the class environment?
