Controlled Lexis Practice by Yvonne Zhu

Hi, I am Yvonne Zhu from Kids and Teens, SH02.
Here's my video that shows the teacher instructed students to conduct a controlled activity.
It aims to practice target lexis such as headache, runny nose, get some rest. At the same time, it helps to consolidate the use of should/ought to/ shouldn't to give advise. The activity is carried out in three main stages.

Your acitvitiy is well organized. It helps to check the students' understanding. The class is in a very logical way.

I think in the last part, asking them to make the poster all by themselves will be also very nice. They may give some different suggestions for the symptons based on their understanding. For example, if you give them the paper, the answer will only be 'you should drink more water'. By leaving a blank column, they may write 'you should stay in bed, you should take some medicine....' In this way, they can use the words they learnt and express their own ideas. Every answer is a good answer as long as it makes sense and contains original thinking.

Your activity is really good. I like how you started your activity by brainstorming and categorizing. Your kids sounds amazing too and they were very eager to learn.
