Hi Claire. This is a great activity and really based on the needs of Chinese students (I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve head students say “Teacher, I am boring.”) I really liked how your video gave clear instructions and a call to action for teachers to try this with their students at the end.

You made it into a training video! Fantastic work Claire! You picked a key lexis challenge our Chinese learners frequently encounter (i.e. knowing when to use excite and exciting) and demonstrate how CA grids can help learners clarifying when and how to use these words. I like the fact that the grids provide learners with a resource that they can glue in their note books and refer back to in class and when reviewing. What's more is that you adapt the grid into an interactive discovery activity that has learners working together and discovering the differences between words as a team.

Never have grids been so exciting. Really well done. I can't wait to try this in my next class.
