Making new friends

By Elena Yip, EF Student Ambassador
I’m really fortunate that being in a program means practically built-in friends. There are so many people in the program that you’re bound to find someone you can be friends with and it’s a fantastic feeling. It’s going to be so strange when I go back to the States and no longer see these people almost every day. Meeting friends is always such a tricky experience but I find that it’s actually easier making friends abroad because people are more open to new experiences. EF Life Club is one instance where I think it’s a great place to meet new people, bridging the gap between locals and expats. Speaking of expats, there are plenty of Shanghai focused expat meet-ups! Shanghai also has heaps of events where you can find people with similar interests, such as concerts or art shows.
