To-Do List Before I Move to China

I have a tentative leave date of September 14th, which leaves me just a little over three weeks left here in the US.  I have plenty to get done before I move, and to keep track of it all, I need to make a list.  Here is the list of what I can think of right now, and I will surely add things onto it as time goes on.

  • Go to the Consulate and get my Z-Visa (planning on getting this done tomorrow)

Hello from San Francisco!

Hi everyone!


I am moving to Shanghai very soon, and I'm getting excited!  I just got my visa documents in the mail and will be going over to the Chinese Consulate of San Francisco next week to turn them in.


I love my life here in San Francisco, but I am very excited to try something new and go on an adventure for a year in Shanghai.  I have never lived in another country before, let alone one where most people speak a different language!  I don't speak any…

Do you know what's expected? Do you feel like you belong?
