The EF Story
EF English First is part of EF Education First which began in 1965 as a small Swedish company. More than 40 years later, EF has evolved into a multinational group with more than 31,000 employees, teachers and guides working in one of our 400 offices and schools worldwide. In 2009, EF helped more than 10 million people of all ages and nationalities become global citizens by learning a new language or exploring the world.
EF English First is a network of local language schools and has a presence in such countries as China, Indonesia, and Russia. In China alone, EF has over 100 schools in 60 cities is one of the largest employers of international teachers in China, and is the leading English language educator for the 300 million adults and children who are studying English in China.
