Hello All,

I know that coming to a new country can be exciting and scary at the same time. So to ease that process why not live with some experienced teachers who work for EF. I am currently listing my room for rent and I will be leaving next week, June 13, 2016. So if you want to keep some of that advancement in your pocket and live in one of the best areas in Shanghai with some amazing roommates let me know. My email is anyentap@outlook.com

Hi all! I am looking to sublet my room in a 2br/1ba apartment as I am leaving Shanghai at the beginning of June. The room would be available on June 4th, but if needed a little earlier I can be flexible. The lease runs out on August 16th with an option to renew.

The location is convenient, right in between Zhongshan Park and Jing An areas. Only a 5-minute walk to the Jiangsu Lu metro Line 2 stop, and close to other bus lines as well.

Wi-fi has already been paid for through August. Gas, electric and water bills are paid monthly. Rent is paid every other month, so two months would be due at the time you move in (total 7800 RMB). I share the apartment with another EF teacher. She's English and very easy to get along with.

Feel free to e-mail me at amandabelo85@yahoo.com if you are interested or want more information.

URGENT: Cosy room for rent in a brand new apartment building directly across from the metro station; Zhongtan Road lines 3/4.

Room cost: 3300 RMB per month including Internet.

Utilities extra. Approx. 300 RMB a month.

You will be sharing with 2 friendly females, a Brit and an American, who both work in different EF Centres. Therefore we prefer females.

The apartment is situated in a very convenient area for commuting and local amenities. Our building boasts a Carrefour, KFC, Dominoes and two other cafes. A five minute walk away there is a Starbucks, hair salon, massage and nail parlour, convenience store, dry cleaners and China Unicom.

Hi everyone!

I'm arriving in Shanghai in June, is anyone looking for someone to fill an open space at their apartment? I'm a clean, cool dude from California working at the kids and teens program, I swear I am a great roommate! If anything, I would much appreciate some tips for apartment searching in the city.

Thank you!

Hi everyone, especially those arriving in April/May 2016! I have a room becoming available in my beautiful apartment, on the 3rd of May. We are right next to Zhongtan Road Underground Station on Lines 3 & 4, you will not find an apartment any closer to a station! I'm from England, and I work in the online centre (30 minute commute on one train, including the walk) and my house mate is from America, and she works with kids and teens. We are fun-loving pair, and super easy to get along with! Our third house mate is leaving us, and we need to fill her room. The rent is 3300 a month. Please add me on we chat for more info, and pics: MissSidraUK

Hi, I'm arriving in Shanghai next week....who else is going that might want a roommate?

Comment by Kelly Abrams on January 7, 2016 at 4:13am

Hi Justine, I think there are already 3 schools in Suzhou. I heard the 4th one will be opening soon, so we'll see!

Comment by Justine Hall on December 30, 2015 at 10:02am
Hi Kelly - the Suzhou school is not yet open - I trained with someone who should have gone there but is being transferred to another city, and there's someone else who is training and waiting in Shanghai for it to open.

Fingers crossed the school will be open soon, because Suzhou is really beautiful, but prepare for a long wait in the hotel ... You'll be there at least a month to get your visa anyway.

Good luck!

Hello all! Anyone here that's in Suzhou?

Also Amy I'm currently using ExpressVPN, that is meant to be pretty good and it is working well for me so far (although I have yet to test it in China). If you do want to use this one and you apply for a full year I can get you an extra month free for you and me I believe. It allows for one computer and one other device access to the VPN.

Also, in the past in China I used PureVPN which allows for multiple accounts (5 I believe) to use the VPN at one time. It occasionally had faults but I believe it's a lot cheaper.  I would recommend this one also.
