Hey, just looking for a bit of advice regarding finances. I know there is an ef loan but id rather not use that if i can help it. How much would people suggest to have saved up before coming over? Thanks :)

Does anyone have any tips on what to bring. I haven't bought anything yet so not sure what to expect.

Does anyone have tips for flying the long distance? What can I bring to occupy my time on the plane?

VPNs are a tricky business. There are several free and cheap ones out there but the quality is generally not so great with those. There are 2 VPNs that the recruitment team uses. About half of us use StrongVPN while the others use Astrill. Both have proven to be quite effective. I've had StrongVPN for two years and not had any problems with it on either my phone or my laptop.

Hello everyone!  I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good (inexpensive) VPN to use while in China.

Hi,

I was wondering how many people, if anyone enrolls in a masters/doctorate program while teaching english in Beijing? I would love to have at least started, if not completed my masters of education by the end of the 1 year program. Is anyone thinking the same thing? Is anyone already enrolled?
